Association of clinicopathological features of melanoma with total naevus count and a history of dysplastic naevi: A cross-sectional retrospective study within an academic centre
Clinical and Experimental Dermatology Feb 21, 2018
Tan SY, et al. - The clinicopathologic variability between malignant melanoma (MM) in patients with a high nevus count (HNC) and patients with a low nevus count (LNC), with or without biopsy-proven dysplastic naevi (DN), was determined. In patients with LNC, MMs could develop with more aggressive features at an older age when compared to patients with HNC. Distinct MM dissimilarities were associated with a history of biopsy-proven DN as compared to patients without DN.
