Loughrey DG, et al. - The goal of this paper was to analyze and measure the link between age-related hearing loss (ARHL) and cognitive function, cognitive impairment and dementia. It was discovered that ARHL presented as a possible biomarker and modifiable risk factor for cognitive decline, cognitive impairment, and dementia. In order to discern the implications of treatment for cognition and to examine the possible causal mechanisms underlying this correlation, advanced studies were warranted.
