Association between vitamin D and risk of stroke: A PRISMA-compliant systematic review and meta-analysis
European Neurology Aug 03, 2021
Su C, Jin B, Xia H, et al. - Whether and how vitamin D is related to the risk of stroke, was investigated via this PRISMA-compliant systematic review and meta-analysis. Relevant articles were identified from PubMed, Web of Science, MEDLINE, EMBASE, and Google Scholar. Experts used STATA 12.0 software to conduct all statistical analyses. Findings revealed an increased risk of stroke in relation to lower circulating levels of vitamin D, but no reduction in stroke risk was brought about by extra vitamin D supplementation.
