Kompotiatis P, et al. - This study entailed analysis of the pooled incidence/incidence trends as well as the risk of urologic malignancies in end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients. A significant link between ESRD and urologic malignancies was shown herein. The overall estimated incidence rates of kidney cancer and urothelial cancers are 0.4% and 0.5%, respectively. In addition, the incidence of urologic malignancies and year of study were found to be positively correlated.
