Association between the platelet‐lymphocyte ratio and short‐term mortality in patients with non‐ST‐segment elevation myocardial infarction
Clinical Cardiology May 30, 2021
Meng Z, Yang J, Wu J, et al. - Using data from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care III database, researchers investigated if there exists an association of platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR) with short-term all-cause mortality among critically ill patients with non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI). Twenty-eight day mortality was assessed as the primary outcome. In this study with 1,273 participants, an elevated risk of short-term mortality was observed in relation to high PLR among critically ill patients with NSTEMI.
