Association between the incidence of pancreatic fistula after pancreaticoduodenectomy and the degree of pancreatic fibrosis
Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery Jan 17, 2018
Deng Y, et al. - The association between the incidence of pancreatic fistula after pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) and the degree of pancreatic fibrosis was investigated. Researchers here recognized that the degree of pancreatic fibrosis could influence the pancreatic texture and the incidence of pancreatic fistula after pancreaticoduodenectomy and could serve as a prognostic factor. Observations also suggested the utility of the pancreatic CT value as a quantitative index of the degree of pancreatic fibrosis to predict the incidence of pancreatic fistula after pancreaticoduodenectomy.
