Association between the frequency of bedwetting and late preterm birth in children aged ≥5 years
Acta Pediatrica Jul 11, 2018
Nishizaki N, et al. - Researchers explored the links between late preterm (LPT) birth children aged ≥ 5 years and the frequency of bedwetting, as well as those who were born full term/low birth weight (BW), LPT/low BW, LPT/normal BW, and LPT/low BW were compared. From January 2014 to December 2016, 614 subjects who underwent assessments for frequent bedwetting at the three hospitals were evaluated. They collected neonatal data from the Maternal and Child Health Handbook. In children, LPT/low BW was correlated with the increased frequency of bedwetting. When treating patients with severe bedwetting, gestational age should be considered.
