Association between testosterone and mortality risk among U.S. males receiving dialysis

Yu J, et al. – In this study, it was presumed that lower testosterone levels were associated with higher mortality in male dialysis patients. An independent association was observed between lower testosterone levels and higher mortality risk in these patients. In order to determine underlying mechanisms, and whether testosterone replacement ameliorated death risk in this population, further studies were needed.
