Elfassy T, et al. - This research was designed to ascertain whether sustained poverty was correlated with a change in body mass index (BMI) among black and white adults of the Coronary Artery Risk Development In Young Adults study. Findings revealed that for BMI with differential associations by race, sustained poverty was found to be a predictor of changes.
