Stavroulakis K, et al. – This explorative study was designed to evaluate the association of statin therapy with the outcomes of critical limb ischemia (CLI) patients. Statin therapy in CLI patients seemed associated with an increased amputation–free survival (AFS) and lower rates of mortality and major adverse cardiovascular and cerebral events (MACCEs) without improving, however, the salvage rates of the affected limb.
