Association between radiotherapy and obstructive sleep apnea in head and neck cancer patients: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Auris Nasus Larynx Jun 10, 2021
Tawfik GM, Mostafa EM, Alshareef A, et al. - Among head and neck cancer patients, the link between OSA and radiotherapy was inquired via this systematic review and meta-analysis. By exploring 12 electronic databases, all relevant studies were identified. A total of 14 studies fulfilled the inclusion criteria, and six studies were eligible for meta-analysis. Findings indicate that no significant link exists between OSA risk and radiotherapy in head and neck cancer patients. More investigations should be carried out to determine any confounders that may impact the influence of radiotherapy on OSA occurrence in head and neck cancer patients.
