Semenov YR, et al. - Through a cross-sectional study using the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, the researcher intended to understand the relationship between psoriasis with arthritis (PsA) and hearing impairment (HI) in the US population and to assess the effect of PsA on mental well-being. When compared to controls, HI in PsA individuals paid a visit to a mental health provider and had depression. PsA having a partially mediated association with worsened psychiatric outcomes and independent association with a significantly increased risk of HI, was concluded.
