This work demonstrated an association of postoperative positive fluid balance (FB) vs zero FB with higher acute kidney injury (AKI) incidence. Yet, an insignificant link between negative FB and AKI was reported. Notably, researchers found a āUā-shape association between postoperative fluid intake and AKI.
