Association between obstructive sleep apnea and atopic dermatitis in children: A nationwide, population-based cohort study
Pediatric Allergy and Immunology Apr 12, 2018
Hu JM, et al. - The association between obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and atopic dermatitis (AD) in children was evaluated in a large-scale, population-based cohort. As per Kaplan-Meier analysis, the cumulative incidence curves of OSA were significantly higher in patients with AD than in those without AD. Patients with AD displayed a higher risk of OSA than those without AD after adjusting for age, sex, urbanization level, and comorbidities. Therefore, researchers recommended comprehensive evaluation and aggressive risk reduction for OSA in these patients.
