Yamada K, Nakajima K, Nakamoto H, et al. – Researchers investigated the link between normothermia at the end of surgery and complications following orthopedic surgery. The study sample consisted of 8,841 patients. Findings did not reveal a clear link between maintaining perioperative normothermia and reduced surgical site infection risks following orthopedic surgery. However, there was evidence supporting maintaining perioperative normothermia for archiving reduced 30-day mortality.
