Hudzik B, et al. - Association between multimorbidity and mean platelet volume (MPV) was investigated in diabetic patients with acute myocardial infarction. The researchers found an association of multimorbidity with an increase in platelet volume indices. With the increasing number of comorbid conditions, MPV values increased. MPV values were elevated in some, but not all CVD and non-CVD conditions.
