Association between leukoaraiosis and cerebral blood flow territory alteration in asymptomatic internal carotid artery stenosis

Chen YF, et al. - Researchers undertook this work to investigate the association between white matter hyperintensities and flow territory alteration as measured by territorial arterial spin labelling (TASL) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in asymptomatic internal carotid artery stenosis (aICAS). Observations revealed the clinical feasibility of TASL MRI in aICAS. It showed that in high-grade patients, more severe deep white matter lesions were associated with collateral circulation.
