Association between leptin, obesity, hormonal interplay and male infertility
Andrologia Oct 04, 2018
Amjad S, et al. - Authors gauged the probable correlation between leptin, obesity, hormonal interplay and male infertility in this cross-sectional study of 313 males (178 infertile and 135 fertile). Multivariable analysis suggested that after adjusting for the other covariates, FSH was significantly associated with testosterone. They did not note a significant variation of serum leptin levels in fertile and infertile groups, and no relationship was found with infertility. Moreover, with the decrease in levels of sex hormones, they noted an association of male obesity with infertility.
