Thevathasan T, et al. - This study hypothesized an association between intraoperative non-depolarising neuromuscular blocking agent (NMBA) dose and 30-day hospital readmission and, retrospectively analyzed this link. In patients undergoing abdominal surgery, intraoperative administration of NMBAs in high doses was found to be associated with an increased risk of 30-day readmission, particularly in patients undergoing ambulatory surgery.
