Deschmann E, et al. - Researchers examined the data to estimate the relationship between in vitro bleeding time and bleeding in preterm newborns with thrombocytopenia. They observed a frequent platelet transfusion administered to infants with platelet counts (PCs) below an autocratic trigger. They suggested satisfying tests to distinguish the infants at risk as a poor correlation between low PC and bleeding was recorded.
