Association between impaired renal function and stroke outcome in patients with vs without atrial fibrillation
European Journal of Neurology Mar 10, 2018
Pan Y, et al. - A comparative evaluation was performed of the tie-up between impaired renal function and poor prognosis in ischemic stroke patients with vs without atrial fibrillation (AF). Findings revealed that stroke patients with lower estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) illustrated more presence of AF. Stronger associations of low eGFR with the risk of poor prognosis were brought to light in stroke patients with AF compared to those without AF.
