Association between hidradenitis suppurativa and lymphoma
JAMA May 13, 2019
Tannenbaum R, et al. - Among patients with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), researchers studied the prevalence of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma, and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma by using standardized electronic health record information of the IBM Explorys database for 55 million subjects from 27 integrated health systems across the US. They included adults with active status between July 16, 2013 and July 16, 2018. According to this cross-sectional cohort analysis, the overall lymphoma prevalence was noted among subjects with and without HS, and within demographic subgroups using a logistic regression model controlling for age and sex.
