Fiorentino TV, et al. - The current study determined whether or not the hemoglobin glycation index (HGI) is correlated with hepatic steatosis and related biomarkers in non-diabetic individuals. It was shown that patients without diabetes are at increased risk of having hepatic steatosis based on higher levels of HGI.
