Merkler AE, et al. - Researchers examined how heart transplantation impacts the risk of subsequent stroke among 7,848 patients with heart failure awaiting transplantation in this retrospective cohort study. In all, 13.6% of patients underwent heart transplantation. Outcomes revealed a decreased risk of stroke among these patients in correlation with heart transplantation.
