Piano S, et al. - The intention of the experts was to gauge factors linked with response to treatment with terlipressin and albumin in patients with type 1 hepatorenal syndrome (HRS). Acute on chronic liver failure (ACLF) grade was discovered to be the largest determinant of response to terlipressin and albumin. As per the results, ACLF grade exerted an impact on the survival independent of response to treatment. Data recommended the development of new therapeutic strategies for patients with type 1 HRS and extrarenal organ failure.
