Zhao S, et al. - After systematically searching PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library database, researchers conducted a meta-analysis to assess if epilepsy has any impact on the risk of sexual dysfunction (SD). In this meta-analysis, nine studies were included for a total of 1,556 subjects and 599 epilepsy cases. Findings suggested a significant association of epilepsy with an increased risk of SD in both sexes. Investigators recommended that both clinicians and patients should recognize the possible harmful impact of epilepsy has on sexual function.
