Kołodziej M, Patro-Gołąb B, Gieruszczak-Białek D, et al. - Researchers conducted this systematic review to explore the connection between early life antibiotic exposure and the risk of coeliac disease (CD) or CD autoimmunity. Inclusion was eligible for cohort, cross-sectional and case-control studies assessing the connection between prenatal and/or postnatal antibiotic exposure and the odds of developing CD or CD autoimmunity. There have been six studies included. No evidence of an association between prenatal or postnatal antibiotic exposure and CD was discovered.
