Yi ZH, Agbana YL, Xiong GH, et al. - Via performing a meta‐analysis of cohort studies, researchers sought to summarize the correlation between diabetes mellitus (DM) and the incidence of lung cancer. Systematically searching PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library, they selected 20 cohort studies for inclusion in this study. Findings revealed little or no significant effect of DM on the risk of lung cancer among cases with DM. No significant impact of DM on the incidence of lung cancer in men was observed but it has a harmful effect among women.
