Kim NH, et al. - The association between smoking status and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) was elucidated using an objective biomarker of tobacco exposure (urinary cotinine) and self-reported questionnaire. As per the outcomes, independent risk factors for NAFLD were cotinine-verified current smoking and self-reported current smoking.
