Association between allergic diseases and ophthalmologic diseases, including cataracts and glaucoma, using the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2010–2012: A STROBE-compliant article
The Journal of Dermatology Jan 19, 2018
Lee YB, et al. - Using the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, authors coveted an investigation of the link between allergic diseases such as asthma, allergic rhinitis and atopic dermatitis, and comorbid ophthalmologic diseases such as cataract and glaucoma. A prominent correlation was illustrated between cataracts with asthma and allergic rhinitis. This was not found in the case of atopic dermatitis. Findings recommended placing emphasis on the reduction of the risk of ophthalmologic complications during the treatment of patients with allergic diseases.
