Association between 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose-PET/CT and histological grade of uterine endometrial carcinoma
Taiwanese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology Apr 21, 2018
Takagi H, et al. - Researchers sought to elucidate the relationships between endometrial adenocarcinoma of the uterine corpus and various data provided by 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) accumulation in positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT). Findings suggested that for discriminating between Grade 1 (G1) and Grade 2 (G2) or higher cancer in patients with endometrial adenocarcinoma of the uterine corpus, PET/CT was a useful test. Also, in patients with well-differentiated endometrial cancer the negative correlation identified between maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) and glucose-6-phosphatase-α (G6Pase-α) activity could be a novel finding.
