Association analysis of the MHC in lupus nephritis
Journal of the American Society of Nephrology Aug 19, 2017
LI Y et al. – In this study, the authors performed a comprehensive sequencing analysis of the whole major histocompatibility (MHC) region in patients (N = 1331) with lupus nephritis (LN) and healthy controls (N = 1296) and validated the independent associations in a different set of patients (N = 950) with LN and controls (N = 1000). The results of this study implicate the role of aberrant peptide presentation by MHC classes 1 and 2 molecules and sex hormone modulation in the development of LN.
