Association among oral symptoms, oral health-related quality of life, and health-related quality of life in a sample of adults living with HIV/AIDS in Malaysia
BMC Oral Health Aug 26, 2017
Mohamed N, et al. – Study authors carried out this investigation to examine the relationships among oral symptoms, oral health–related quality of life (OHRQOL), and health–related quality of life (HRQOL) of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in Malaysia. They found evidence for an association among oral symptoms, OHRQOL, and HRQOL in PLWHA from Malaysia. The presence of oral symptoms was significantly related to more severe oral impacts and poorer OHRQOL. The presence of less severe oral impacts was correlated with a better HRQOL.
