Assessment of plasma endostatin to predict acute kidney injury in critically ill patients
Acta Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica Sep 07, 2017
Martensson J, et al. – Plasma endostatin was assessed as a predictor of acute kidney injury (AKI), need for renal replacement therapy (RRT), or death in critically ill patients. In this patient population, a rise in endostatin levels was evident with AKI severity but endostatin showed limited value as a predictor of AKI, RRT and 90–day mortality. Furthermore, endostatin did not improve AKI risk prediction when added to a clinical risk model.
