Assessment of dynamic variables of fluid responsiveness to predict desufflation-induced hypotension during paediatric laparoscopic surgery
British Journal of Anesthesia Oct 31, 2017
Kim EH, et al. - Researchers conducted this study to investigate if dynamic variables of fluid responsiveness during pneumoperitoneum can predict the occurrence of desufflation-induced hypotension during paediatric laparoscopic surgery. Findings demonstrated that for the prediction of desufflation-induced hypotension during paediatric laparoscopic surgery, respiratory variation in the pulse oximetry plethysmographic waveform (ΔPOP) during pneumoperitoneum was found to be useful.
