Vemula S, et al. - The frequency of side effects and complications related to superficial chemical peels in patients with skin types III-VI were determined by the experts. A relatively low complication rate was noted in the superficial chemical peels performed on patients with skin types III-VI and higher possibility of experiencing adverse events was noted in type VI skin. Findings suggested that the side effects were less during the winter months.
