Locke MC, et al. - An inquiry was set up with regard to the outcomes, complications and costs between general and local anesthesia in cutaneous surgery. Researchers drew the conclusion that local anesthetic techniques yielded outcomes equal to or better than general anesthesia. Local anesthesia presented substantially lower costs.
