BMJ Open Jun 13, 2019
Quintana HK, et al. - Via 4,796 responding participants between 15 years and 29 years old, in an international standardised cross-sectional survey study of tobacco-associated diseases, the contributors sought to assess the knowledge, attitudes and perceptions (KAP), and the influence of tobacco products' advertisement, promotion and sponsorship (TAPS) even while a strong and comprehensive ban was enforced. Bladder cancer, breast cancer, stomach cancer, chronic bronchitis, myocardial infarction, and lung cancer were top 3 variables for KAP. The lowest median KAP index was noticed in men, young adults and deprived youth. No influence on illegal TAPS and on the KAP of tobacco-associated diseases whilst execution of a strong and comprehensive ban, was concluded.
