International Forum of Allergy & Rhinology Dec 05, 2017
Bhalla V, et al. - The clinical applicability of prior head imaging was exploratively gauged by the authors, in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis. A significant association was revealed between prior head imaging with future maxillofacial computed tomography (CT) in patients presenting with chronic sinonasal complaints. Herein, it was noted that patients with prior negative scans exhibited a tendency to remain negative on future imaging. Practitioners were suggested to avoid ordering additional scans in the absence of changing symptoms, in the case of existence of prior head scans.
