Assessing cognitive functioning in females with Rett syndrome by eye-tracking methodology
European Journal of Paediatric Neurology Oct 14, 2017
Ahonniska-Assa J, et al. - Aim of this study is to examine whether eye-tracking technology (ETT) in forced-choice tasks can enable children with very severe motor and speech impairments to respond consistently, providing a more reliable evaluation of their language comprehension. In children with severe motor and communication impairments, the use of ETT seems to make the communicational signals more easily understood. The quality of daily communication may be improved by early practice of ETT. It can also enable more reliable conclusions in learning and assessment sessions.
