Anderson DR, et al. - A comparative scrutiny was performed of the efficacy of aspirin vs rivaroxaban for the prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE) after total hip or total knee arthroplasty. Based on the results, it was deduced that extended prophylaxis with aspirin did not exhibit any notable variation from rivaroxaban in the prevention of symptomatic venous thromboembolism among patients who received 5 days of rivaroxaban prophylaxis after total hip or total knee arthroplasty.
