Muhammad IF, et al. - The aim of this study is to assess the relationship between arterial stiffness, as determined by carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity (c-f PWV), and incidence of diabetes. As per observations, increased c-f PWV seemed associated with increased incidence of diabetes, independent of other risk factors. Increased arterial stiffness was identified as an early risk marker for developing diabetes.
