Psychiatry Research Apr 05, 2018

Adriano Z, et al. - The present exploratory study examined the clinical differences of Auditory Verbal Hallucinations (AVHs) according to their spatial localization. They observed that inner, outer or both localization of Auditory verbal hallucinations share very similar clinical features. Findings thus suggest that in patients presenting a chronic mental illness, all AVHs subtypes have equal clinical significance. The psychological meaning of Auditory verbal hallucinations for the individual should become the main intervention target.
