Sakamoto JT, et al. - This systematic review and meta-analysis was performed with the aim to assess if non-pharmacologic interventions in the Emergency Department (ED) are effective in reducing pain. As per the analysis of included studies, the most studied interventions were acupuncture and physical therapy and the type of pain most studied was musculoskeletal pain. Oftenly, non-pharmacologic interventions were found to be effective in reducing pain in the ED.
