Bertollo LG, et al. - Researchers aimed at determining the role of antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASPs) in reducing bacterial resistance to antibiotics in hospital settings. A wide variation was noticed in ASP strategies and microorganism-antibiotic pairs evaluated. This study yielded no solid evidence suggesting the efficacy of ASPs in reducing antibiotic resistance in hospital settings.
