Chow BJW, et al. - The authors aimed to examine the effect of Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) on evaluability of cardiac computed tomography (CCT) to ascertain if inappropriate tests resulted in a greater proportion of nondiagnostic results. They concluded that cardiac computed tomography done for inappropriate indications could be correlated with lower diagnostic yield and could affect future downstream resource utilization and health care costs.
