Amit M, et al. - The objective of this work is to assess the effects of lymph node metastasis on survival in patients with head and neck mucosal melanoma. As per findings, lymph node status in patients with sinonasal mucosal melanoma (SNMM) seems not a relevant predictor of outcome. Together with the low incidence of lymph node metastases in patients with SNMM, findings indicate that elective treatment of the neck should be highly selective in this patient population.
