Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody and/or antiglomerular basement membrane antibody associated crescentic glomerulonephritis in combination with IgG4-related tubulointerstitial nephritis
Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology Online Mar 23, 2019
Wang G, et al. - Investigators researched over 4 cases to evaluate antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) and/or anti-glomerular basement membrane (anti-GBM) antibody associated crescentic glomerulonephritis vs Immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)-related tubulointerstitial nephritis (IgG4-TIN). They reviewed the medical charts of those candidates to collect the clinical and laboratory data related to diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes after 6-36 months. They observed 2 cases of IgG4-TIN with ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV) whereas the other 2 cases were rare IgG4-TIN with anti-GBM glomerulonephritis coexistent with ANCA-positive serum. They reported less association of IgG4-TIN plus AAV or anti-GBM glomerulonephritis with other organ injuries as compared with IgG4-TIN.
