Naito Y, et al. - In the present study, the antifungal activity and mechanical properties of a novel antifungal tissue conditioner containing Juncus powder were evaluated. The results seemed to imply that the tissue conditioner including Juncus powder had a significant growth inhibitory effect against C. albicans. The authors suggested that the application of Juncus-mixed tissue conditioner could prevent denture stomatitis and oral candidiasis in denture wearers.
