Sinha R, et al. - Experts ascertained if antibiotics reduced voiding cystourethrogram (VCUG)-associated urinary tract infection (UTI) among children. They observed that post-VCUG UTI was substantially higher among no antibiotic group when compared to the antibiotic cohort. Therefore, it was determined that antibiotics resulted in a notable reduction in the post-VCUG-acquired UTI, particularly among those with abnormal ultrasound scans.
